In a world where healthcare often feels impersonal and disconnected, Bump, Birth and Beyond is a progressive option for local families. This innovative clinic is revolutionizing healthcare by offering a collaborative and bundled approach that aims to support to the entire family.
Bump, Birth and Beyond was founded by Dr. Kyla Miller BSc, DC, and Jenny Limoges, BSc, RM.
“We felt as though there was a disconnect in pre and postpartum care,” Miller explains. “Not just the moms and infants, but the whole family, whether it was not enough support for one parent or the other, having long wait times for services, or a lack of access to services in bedroom communities.”
However, Bump, Birth and Beyond is about more than providing a service; they are creating a community. With an emphasis on a collaborative approach, the clinic brings together a diversified team of practitioners to offer comprehensive care for the entire family while also working with like minded organizations in the local area. This includes free monthly meet ups for dads and new parents, birth education classes, nutrition coaching, dad/partner focused coursework, and collaborations with Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD) funded providers.
“We believe that caring for you physically, mentally, and chemically across your major life transitions will improve your health for the better,” says Miller. “We know that our healthcare approach addresses the fragmented, disconnected, and inconsistent healthcare experiences of our community.”
The clinic opened its doors on March 4, welcoming its first patients and starting its mission to provide holistic, integrative care. Services range from addressing birth trauma, trouble feeding kids, suffering a loss, pre and post natal rehab, care for neurodivergent children and more. The ultimate goal? To expand these services to the rural community and ensure that every family has access to the care they need.
